Upcoming Poetry Reading
Back in the springtime, I had the luxury of participating in a poetry workshop led by Jon Sands. This was by far my favorite workshop I've ever experienced: The people were kind and supportive, and Jon's gentle but instructive style truly brought out some wonderful poetry.
To cap off the workshop, Jon Sands is hosting a public poetry reading where many participants will be reading work that they generated within this workshop. There are some phenomenal poets in this group, and I am honored and humbled to be a part of it. Additionally, this reading supports a charity of the class' choice (TBA)!
The poetry readings will be over Zoom and take place on Monday, July 31st & Tuesday, August 1st, from 7:30-9 pm EST. I recommend tuning in to see both nights, but if you're just looking for me, I'll be on Tuesday, August 1st.
Silver Spring Stage One-Act Festival
Another exciting piece of news for me is that I recently had a one-act play chosen to be performed in the Silver Spring Stage's One-Act Play Festival! I had to keep quiet about this for a bit, but now that the cast has been selected and the show dates are announced, I can finally share this news with you!
The play is a dark comedy titled "Funeral for the Cat" and it will be performed from September 22nd to October 1st at Silver Spring Stage (Save the date - More Details to Come)!
