Today I'm excited to announce that my horror story, Easy Prey, was selected as a runner-up in the Vocal Campfire Ghost Story Challenge! This competition had over 1,800 entries, so I am beyond honored to have made it on the board!

Easy Prey is my very first short story to get any type of formal recognition, and I feel so excited about this honor. I only began seriously writing short stories about a year ago when I wrote my first ever horror story, Catawampus. I'm still proud of that work, but reading through it and then my latest story, I can see places where my writing has improved (as well as my penchant for horror).
I'm excited to keep writing and keep improving. But also, I'm trying to remind myself to appreciate all of these little wins along the way.
